Donating for Education and English lessons for kids in rural Transylvania

I am donating my birthday for a cause that I hold very dear: education in rural Transylvania

Elena is my highschool friend and the founder of House of Nature.

It’s been two years since she started offering educational programs for children in her Transylvanian village, near Sighișoara.

So far the educational projects include a reading and literacy club, entrepreneurial education, civic education, ecological education, as well as menstrual education. More than 250 children and young people aged between 7 and 24, from five different villages benefit from these educational projects.

These villages are internationally renowned for their beauty and authenticity. Many tourists are visiting them every year, but children cannot interact with them because of the language barrier.

Children don’t learn English at school. What would it be like for them to be able to talk to visitors about their villages? What would it be like for them to have an extra advantage when they grow up and want to get to know other countries? For them and for the community, let’s make sure they can take the first steps in learning a foreign language!
